We've lost another icon from youth, as the great Peggy Lipton has passed away from cancer at the age of 72. When I was a young kid in the early 1970s, my mom and I used to watch The Mod Squad and I kinda had a crush on Lipton's character Julie Barnes. Lipton also stareed in Twin Peaks in 1990-9. Her death was confirmed by her daughters from her marriage to Quincy Jones, Rashida and Kidada Jones in a statement in the LA Times. “She made her journey peacefully with her daughters and nieces by her side, We feel so lucky for every moment we spent with her. We can’t put all of our feelings into words right now, but we will say: Peggy was and will always be our beacon of light, both in this world and beyond, she will always be a part of us.”
