A rare U2 live recording has surfaced. A cassette tape with audio from August 11th, 1979 is believed to be the earliest document of the band. Previously, the earliest U2 show in circulation was from October 22nd of that year. The audio was recorded by Pete McCluskey, who was in another Dublin, Ireland band called The Stougers. The two bands were performing that afternoon at Dublin's Dandelion Market. Four of the songs on the cassette ("Out of Control," "Stories for Boys," "Another Time, Another Place" and "Shadows and Tall Trees") would end up on the band's first album, 1980's Boy.
