Iggy Pop decided to celebrate his 73rd birthday on Tuesday by giving US a present. Check out this just-released cover of Sly Stone's "Family Affair," featuring Bootsy Collins on bass and produced and mixed by Bill Laswell. This isn't the first time Pop has covered the song. He originally released it as a single in 1995 with former Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones on guitar (below). Iggy said, "[this track] made me feel good and it was good company and I hoped I could put it out and it would be good company for someone else, too."
