Earliest Known Recording of Bob Dylan

A recording from very, very early in Bob Dylan's career has surfaced on YouTube.

Posted by longtime bootlegger Trademark of Quality (TMQ), the incomplete performance of "Walls of Red Wing" is thought to be from December 1962. possibly at Gerde's Folk City, the club where Dylan made his New York City debut.

The accompanying note says it comes from a five-minute tape that also includes "Ramblin' Down Thru the World" and "Freight Train Blues," and that TMQ plans to upload the rest of it in the coming days. He says he "decided to showcase this particular track first since it is one of Dylan's great early works, and according to Dylan's website, he only performed [it] on three other occasions."

The sound quality is not the best, but if you're game, check it out.
