Elton John's Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour is not the first time he decided to step away from touring.
He said the same thing 45 years ago to the day, Thursday, November 3rd, 1977, onstage at the Wembley Empire Pool in London.
His plan lasted just 15 months.
Elton insists he's sticking to this tour being his last as he is down to the last seven shows in America with Denver on Friday.
The final three U.S. shows are at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles -- November 17th, 19th and 20th. The final show will air on Disney+.
He then heads to Australia and New Zealand in January, followed by the U.K. and Europe in March through the final show on July 8th in Stockholm, Sweden.
