Sammy Hagar has posted a video in which he and Michael Anthony discuss the song “Crossing Over” off the new Van Halen compilation, The Collection 2. The song is a tribute not only to Eddie and Alex’s longtime friend Dave Emerson, who died by suicide, but also the band’s late manager Ed Leffler, and now, according to Hagar, the memory of Eddie himself. The album will be out Friday.
