Happy Birthday! Tony Iommi

Born on this day in 1948, Anthony Frank Iommi, legendary English guitarist, songwriter, and producer, co-founder of Black Sabbath turns 76. Iommi was the band's primary composer and sole continuous member for nearly five decades. Famously, while working in a factory as a teenager, Iommi lost the tips of the middle and ring fingers of his right hand in an accident, an event which crucially impacted his playing style, giving it that distinct Sabbath sound that's influenced a generation of hard rock and heavy metal guitarists.
