Wolfgang Van Halen, along with Slash from Guns 'N Roses, made surprise appearances at the Academy Awards last night during Ryan Gosling's "I'm just Ken" number.

Michael Anthony recently shared what it was like seeing Wolfgang Van Halen last December in Las Vegas after not seeing him for 20 years.
And, it was also an emotional night as Anthony spent time with Wolfie's mom, actress Valerie Bertinelli.
Wolfgang took over the bass duties from Anthony in Van Halen in 2006, but there was never any animosity between them as Eddie wanted to play with his son -- not to mention that he wasn't pleased with Anthony for being part of Sammy Hagar's band, a role that continues.
