U2 Releases Their Version of "Don't Dream It's Over"

U2 marked International Women's Day on Friday by posting their version of Crowded House's "Don't Dream it's Over" from the finale of their Las Vegas residency at the Sphere on March 2nd.

They'd done it a few times towards the end of the residency, but they were joined on that last night via video by the song's writer, Crowded House singer Neil Finn.

The song was dedicated to Yulia Navalnaya, widow of the late Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.

In posting the song, the band says, "On this International Women’s Day we honor Yulia and all women fighting for freedom around the world, those whose names we know, and those whose names we’ll never know."

Alexei Navalny was found dead in a Russian prison on February 16th. He was 47.
