KISS got a pretty sweet deal recently. As we told you before, the band sold everything from their music catalogue to their likeness to investment firm Pophouse Entertainment for a cool $300-million. The firm has put on hologram shows for acts like ABBA in the past.
Well KISS co-founder Gene Simmons says that while its a hefty price tag, the deal isn’t about the money. “That’s not what it’s about. It’s about enjoying life… I’m certainly blessed…Life happens while you’re busy making important plans,” he shares with “People” in a new interview.
The deal gives KISS the chance to still perform…just without the actual band going out on stage as they move into their golden years. "We were planning our respectful, proud walking off into the sunset, because we've been touring, we had been touring for half a century." But Simmons says he didn't want to tour forever. "I don't want to go out there with my walker.”
