Released on this day in 1981, Don't Say No is the second studio album by Billy Squier. It would become his breakthrough album, featuring the hits "Lonely Is the Night", "In the Dark", "My Kinda Lover" and "The Stroke" and cracking the Top Five on the Billboard album chart where it remained for over two years (111 weeks). Much of the album's success can be credited to the birth of MTV later that year (August 1) which played many of his videos in heavy rotation. Since its release, the album has gone on to sell over 3 million copies in the US alone.
