Valerie Bertinelli loved her ex-husband, Eddie Van Halen, to whom she was married to for 26 years -- but he wasn't her soulmate.
In a video posted on her socials, she says she came to that conclusion after watching their son Wolfgang's episode of Behind the Music, which she said was difficult for three reasons, one of which was her relationship with Eddie.
Valerie also said she could have been a better parent, despite how well Wolfie turned out.
Eddie did marry a second time, in 2009 to Janie Liszewski. Although their marriage was rocky toward the end, she is his widow. He died on October 6th, 2020 from cancer at the age of 65.
The Wolfgang episode of Behind the Music is streaming on Paramount+.
And Wolfgang also commented, saying it was "difficult, but also incredibly cathartic being able to reflect on my experiences, the incredible people I’m blessed to have in my life and most importantly, my bond with my father. I don’t normally talk so openly about things, so this was new for me."
