With Paul McCartney turning 82 yesterday comes news that his handwritten draft for The Beatles' 1968 song "Birthday" is on the auction block.
Complete with chord structures for John Lennon and George Harrison it was drafted on September 18th, 1968 on the back of an Apple Studio recording sheet at Abbey Road Studios. It also includes a 12-bar riff written out by the band's roadie and personal assistant Mal Evans.
The ANALOG auction is open online now with the minimum bid set at $25,000. It's estimated to sell for between $125- and $200,000.
