57 Tears Ago Today The Beatles Satellite Broadcast That Changed Our World

Happy Global Beatles Day! It was on this day in 1967 when an estimated 400 to 700 million people around the world watched The Beatles perform on Our World, the first live, international, satellite TV production. The Fab Four had specially commissioned the song, ‘All you need is love’ to capture the program’s spirit of peace and togetherness. In the studio crowd that day were Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Graham Nash, Keith Moon, and others during the broadcast.

In honor of the anniversary, see the Beatles perform as part of the event.
