Lou Gramm: "Turning Back the Time"

Original Foreigner singer Lou Gramm is pleased that one of the eight or so songs he recorded as a member of the band in 1996, "Turning Back the Time," was recently released as part of a new hits collection of the same name. But he's disappointed the others are still sitting on a shelf.

Lou says the song's lyrical content grew out of a conversation he and band founder and guitarist Mick Jones were having about four guys from Liverpool.

Jones and Marti Frederiksen co-wrote and co-produced the song, and both added guitars. Jones also added keyboards with Frederiksen and his son Evan playing bass and drums respectively. Gramm’s vocals are from the original demo.

Gramm will be with Foreigner when they're inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside Peter FramptonOzzy OsbourneDave Matthews BandCher, the late Jimmy Buffett and John Mayall, and others on October 19th at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland.
