George Harrison's fourth studio album -- and second following the demise of The Beatles -- 1973's Living in the Material World, has been remixed from the original tapes and will be released in numerous configurations, including a Super Deluxe Edition box set.
Limited to 5,000 copies worldwide, the Super Deluxe Edition contains two CDs and two vinyl LPs, along with a bonus disc of 12 previously unreleased early renditions of every song on the album.
There is also a Blu-Ray of all the album tracks and previously unreleased tracks in Dolby Atmos, and an exclusive seven-inch single of the never-before-heard recording of "Sunshine Life For Me (Sail Away Raymond)," featuring The Band's Robbie Robertson, Levon Helm, Garth Hudson, and Rick Danko, alongside Ringo Starr. “They were doing it for Ringo,” says Harrison's widow Olivia. “But George did a guide vocal, and he was just trying to teach them how to play it and what the song was. He really loved playing with the Band. He thought they were so free and loose.” Ringo and The Band did record it for Ringo's 1973 album, Ringo.
The box set also contains a 60-page hardcover book with previously unseen photos and memorabilia from the era, handwritten lyrics, studio notes, and tape box images. Also included is a 12-page Recording Notes booklet, drawing from original Living in the Material World production notes, photographs, and reel-to-reel session tapes housed in the George Harrison Archive. For the first time, the Harrison archive team offers an in-depth, chronological account of the album’s creation, revealing insights that have never been shared with the public before.
The album is also available on two LP and CD Deluxe Editions; one CD and LP; a limited-edition color vinyl LP from the official George Harrison online store (purple), Amazon (clear) and Barnes & Noble (orange).
And, with this announcement comes an acoustic version of “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth) (Take 18)."

It seems like yesterday to fans, but Ratt is celebrating the 40th anniversary of their first studio album in 1984 with a special edition. “Out Of The Cellar 40th Anniversary” will be pressed on red and black splatter vinyl and also as a limited edition CD format, but the most exciting part for fans is that the anniversary release will include the unreleased track “Reach for the Sky,” which was recorded during the 1983 recording sessions for “Out Of The Cellar.” It’s not every day that you get new classic 80s rock.
