Sammy Hagar was awarded the Key to the Las Vegas Strip on Friday in recognition of his economic and charitable impact in Clark County, Nevada.
The ceremony took place at his Cabo Wabo Cantina, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
While in town, Hagar also did his first-ever Birthday Bash shows on Friday and Saturday at the Palms Casino Resort. Rick Springfield, his partner in Sammy’s Sammy's Beach Bar Rum, joined him on Friday for “I’ve Done Everything for You,” Hagar’s song that Springfield had a hit with in 1981.
On Sunday, Hagar was at his home in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in preparation of his annual Birthday Bash shows at the original Cabo Wabo Cantina there on Friday and Sunday -- October 13th, which is Sammy's 77th birthday.
