Foreigner announced on Thursday afternoon that original members Mick Jones and Dennis Elliott won't be attending the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony
Jones, who has Parkinson's disease, was initially expect to attend and have his daughter, British actress Annabelle Dexter-Jones, will speak on his behalf.
As for Elliott, he says, “We were finally given the schedule Wednesday night, and it is not to our satisfaction. So we are staying home.
"We have been asking for this for weeks, and they have waited until the very last minute to send it knowing we were all packed and going to bed. Totally unacceptable to us.
"Hope you have a good time."
Singer Lou Gramm, keyboardist Al Greenwood and bassist Rick Wills will accept their honor. They're being inducted by Sammy Hagar.
As for their performance, Hagar and current Foreigner singer Kelly Hansen will do "Hot Blooded," Demi Lovato will handle "Feels Like the First Time," and Kelly Clarkson will duet with Gramm on "I Want to Know What Love Is" backed by Greenwood, Willis and the rest of the current lineup. Among the numerous backing musicians on the first two songs are Slash and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith.
