You oughta know by now... if you use iconic imagery without permission there's a pretty good chance you're gonna get sued... especially if you're a hotel chain.

The famous photo from the cover of David Bowie's 1973 album "Aladdin Sane" is being used by the Hard Rock Hotel in Palm Springs, including its front entrance and in the guestrooms.

The estate of late photographer Brian Duffy, who took the actual photo, claims to be the sole owner of the legendary image, and according to the lawsuit is suing the Hard Rock for illegal use, damages and any profits made from using the artwork.
