Here's another heartwarming story of Texans helping Texans, or at least Texans feeding Texans during the record rainfall and flooding in Southeast Texas.
The Pizza Hut store in Sugarland has been providing food to families trapped in their homes by Hurricane Harvey.
According to reports from NBC Houston affiliate KPRC, Shayda Habib, the regional manager of a Pizza Hut in Sugarland, mobilized a small crew on Tuesday, she commented "When I heard there were families in need, I knew we needed to act fast, I called my husband and asked him to gather up kayaks and meet me at the restaurant. We packed 120 pizzas into kayaks and took them out to people in their homes. The people in the houses didn't expect us to come. It was so nice to see their smiles after so much gloom."
Habib says she plans to continue delivering pizza until the store runs out of food.
