A soft drink company in Poland is getting squeezed by John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono, after she sued for copyright infringement.
'John Lemon' actually used John Lennon's likeness in a wall mural along with the company’s logo. And they also used ads featuring Lennon’s signature round glasses and the phrase “Let It Be.”
Ono’s lawyers gave the company until the end of October to comply, and warned them that they faced costs in the range of €5,000 a day and €500 for every bottle sold.
I mean COME ON! Talk about instant karma.
The company has agreed to change the drink’s name to “On Lemon.”
