Harley-Davidson Recalls 251,000 Motorcycles Worldwide

Own a Harley-Davidson? Heads up!

Harley is recalling several hundred thousand motorcycles because the brakes might fail. The voluntary recall covers CVO Touring and VSRC bikes — model years 2008 through 2011 — equipped with anti-lock brakes. Worldwide that includes more than 251,000 motorcycles, with nearly 175,000 of those bikes sold in the U.S. Harley says deposits can form on brake parts if the fluid isn’t changed every two years as specified in the owner’s manual. That can cause a valve in the antilock brake control unit to stick.

Harley Davidson dealers will flush and replace brake fluid starting on February 12, 2018
