According to the always reliable folks at UltimateClassicRock.com, we're learning that come next week when Dire Straits officially gets inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, they'll do so without their legendary frontman Mark Knopfler.
To add insult to injury, the other Knopfler brother in the band David isn't making the scene either due to the Hall supposedly backing out on paying his transportation.
So that leaves a trio of Alan Clark Guy Fletcher and John Illsley who will attend the ceremony According to Clark they'll perform an unplugged version of 'Telegraph Road'
Bummer........
