Baseball season is barely weeks old but it looks like if it weren't for bad luck the 4-10 Texas Rangers would have no luck at all. Shortstop Elvis Andrus broke his right elbow Wednesday night when he was hit by a pitch in the ninth inning of the Rangers' 7-2 loss to the Los Angeles Angels. Skipper Jeff Banister said after the game that a preliminary X-ray revealed a fracture.
This comes on top of the news that second baseman Rougned Odor was placed on the DL Tuesday with a strained left hamstring. Odor is expected to be out three weeks. Jurickson Profar, who had replaced Odor at second, will probably move to shortstop. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will play second.
