Vegas Goes Medieval For NHL Playoff Home Opener

Gotta hand it to Vegas, they've done just about everything right, and there's still plenty to accomplish. If you're not familiar with the Golden Knights story, the newest NHL franchise set the expansion team record for wins in a debut season with 34 wins after only 50 games, and then for most points by an expansion team in the inaugural season with 84. They also became the first team since 1980 to make the playoffs in their inaugural season, and oh yea... they also clinched the Pacific Division title, becoming the first true expansion team in the four major sports to win its division in its inaugural season.

So it's no surprise when it came to their first playoff game they'd do it up big with an awe-inspiring pre-game show featuring a Medieval Times-like duel, the Blue Man Group and more before Game 1 of the Western Conference First Round against the Los Angeles Kings.

And you guessed it, the Vegas Golden Knights won their first-ever NHL Playoff game 1-0 over the Los Angeles Kings.
