50 Years Ago Today John & Paul Go To NY To Launch Apple

It was 50 years ago today, May 13, 1968, when John Lennon and Paul McCartney went to New York to launch Apple. They did many interviews including one with Larry Kane who had previously followed The Beatles on tour. Larry was featured prominently in the Eight Days a Week film.

Kane asked John and Paul about Apple's business aims, their trip to India, thoughts on LSD, US campus riots and Martin Luther King Jr's assassination. Lennon also talks about The Beatles' touring days in the US, particularly their troubled 1966 appearance in Memphis and their first visit to New York in 1964.
