6-Year-Old Boy From Texas Helps Save More Than 1,000 Dogs

Roman McConn is a 6-year-old boy who lived in Texas with his parents from 2013 – 2016. In July of 2015, they adopted a dog named Luna from a Texas “kill” shelter. From then on Roman and his family were hooked, and they have been helping dogs ever since. In the Summer of 2016, the family relocated to Washington State where Roman's dad got orders to serve overseas. They created a sort of 'underground railroad' for dogs to leave kill shelters in Texas and find new homes in Washington. On December 6th, 2016 Project Freedom Ride had its first transport of 31 dogs from Texas to Washington. Since then Roman and his family have saved more than 1000 dogs. Way to go Roman!
