My wife and I have been going to C.A.R.E. in Bridgeport for over a decade. Much better than a zoo, C.A.R.E. is a non-profit dedicated to caring for over 50 exotic animals including mountain lions, a coati, lions, tigers, leopards, bobcats, llamas, and ring-tailed lemurs. We've also been adoptive Lemur parents for nearly as along.
Almost a year ago they received a baby lemur named Momo. Her owners could no longer care for her and she'd stopped eating. It was touch and go for a while, but thanks to round-the-clock care from the tireless crew at C.A.R.E. a year later and she's a happy and healthy Lemur.
Here's her story...
