Dallas Stars Make History Drafting First Jamaican Born Player

The Dallas Stars made history Saturday when they selected 20-year-old Jermaine Loewen in the 7th round of the 2018 NHL Draft. Loewen becomes the first Jamaican born player to be drafted in the NHL. Orphaned at a young age, the Mandeville, Jamaica native captured the hearts of a Canadian family who were able to adopt him and bring him back to Manitoba, Canada.
