In a rather dismal season for the Texas Rangers, one player is shining bright. Back in May, designated hitter Shin-Soo Choo set the record for most home runs by an Asian-born player in MLB with 176. Then, over the weekend, after an infield single in the ninth inning against the Detroit Tigers, Choo became the first Rangers player to ever reach base in 47 consecutive games. If that weren't enough, Choo also became the first Korean-born position player to earn an All-Star nod, as he'll be headed to Nationals Park in Washington on July 17th for the first MLB All-Star game of his career.
How do you do Shin-Soo Choo!
