Gene Simmons and Ace Frehley ON STAGE AGAIN!

posted by Randy James -

Gene Simmons and Ace Frehley did four shows in Australia last week, with Frehley using Gene’s solo band to back his opening sets.

After finishing his 13-song set, Frehley stayed on stage to introduce Simmons and then sat in for the opening number, the KISS classic “Deuce.” Frehely later returned for “Let Me Go, Rock ’n’ Roll” and “Rock and Roll All Nite.”

They wrapped up their week on Saturday in Brisbane, but will come together again on the KISS Kruise at the end of October.

Last month, onetime KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent filed applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for the name Vinnie Vincent's KISS. No surprise -- the band is not pleased.

During a Q&A last week in Australia, Simmons said, “He's about to get into some more legal problems, because he tried to trademark the makeup and to trademark 'Vinnie Vincent KISS', the logo.” So much for their friendly reunion in April at Gene’s Vault Experience in Nashville.

Original KISS drummer Peter Criss recently commented on the death of Aretha Franklin. “Hearing of the passing of Aretha is heartbreaking. The world was a better place because she was in it. She changed people's lives with her amazing soul, including mine. She inspired so many and will live forever in my heart and all who were touched by her.”
