You know the iconic campaign for "Don't Mess With Texas" which was started over 30 years ago, featuring artists like Willie Nelson and George Strait. Well, now the Texas Department of Transportation has announced the "Don't Mess With Texas Song Search". You must be a Texas resident, and at least 18 years of age to submit your 30-second song. The public will vote for their favorites through the end of October and two winners will be chosen, one in English and one in Spanish, to be featured in a "Don’t Mess With Texas" TV spot with the Randy Rogers Band and Las Fenix. Winners also receive a Gibson guitar!
