Released on this day in 1968, Electric Ladyland is the third and final studio album by he Jimi Hendrix Experience. It went to number one in the United States, where it spent two weeks at the top spot. It was the Experience's most commercially successful release and their only number one album.
This November 9th, Electric Ladyland will get a 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, available as a 3CD+blu-ray set or a 6LP+blu-ray edition. Via the blu-ray, both include a new 5.1 surround sound mix by Eddie Kramer, 24 bit/96 kz high resolution stereo audio.
