Well, it happened. The Foo Fighters staged a Nirvana reunion to close out their Cal Jam set as Dave Grohl and Pat Smear welcomed Krist Novoselic and Joan Jett for a six-song set during the encore. John McCauley from the band Deer Tick also assisted on vocals. McCauley sang on “Serve the Servants,” “Scentless Apprentice” and “In Bloom.” Joan Jett sang lead on “Breed,” “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and “All Apologies.”
