Toronto police plan to charge a man who decided to take a naked dip in the shark tank at Ripley's Aquarium of Canada.
Shocked spectators watched in disbelief as the man, who's been identified as 37-year-old David Weaver, stripped off all his clothes and dove into the large lagoon that houses an assortment of marine animals -- including 17 sharks. He spent the next several minutes swimming around the tank and laughing as security guards ordered him to get out. At one point, he appeared to be climbing out but then did a backwards dive back in.
Weaver eventually climbed out, put on his clothes and walked out of the the aquarium. Police later determined that he's the same man who's wanted in connection with an assault that occurred earlier that same evening outside of Medieval Times. The victim suffered serious injuries. Police say Weaver is on the run and they're hoping the public will help to find him. (CBC)
Talk About It:
- He looked awfully calm swimming around dozens of predators.
- Good thing it wasn't feeding time.
- The water looked to be a little cold.
