Roger Waters Earns $30 Million at South America Concerts!!

Dec 23, 2018
Roger Waters tops the Hot Tours recap (see below) dated Dec. 15 with the reports for his two shows at Estadio Unico Ciudad de la Plata in Buenos Aires, Argentina. According to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore, Waters earned $5.3 million and sold 80,693 tickets on Nov. 6 and 10, 2018. Combined with earlier reports from Brazil that hit our Nov. 10 chart, the South American leg of the Us + Them tour has grossed $29.6 million across 10 shows, with Waters playing to 416,759 fans. These stadium shows were promoted by T4F–Time for Fun. While the $5.3 million gross in Argentina is enough to top the latest Hot Tours tally and current Boxscore, Waters’ largest engagement in South America this year was the leg’s first outing, a two-night stint at Allianz Parque in Sao Paolo, Brazil. On Oct. 9-10, the Pink Floyd co-founder grossed $6.5 million. Narrowly, the Sao Paolo shows also are the top-attended South American engagement, having moved 81,545 tickets, a difference of only 852 beyond the recent Buenos Aires dates. Roger Waters performs on Aug. 31, 2018. Waters began the trek on May 26, 2017, at Kansas City’s Sprint Center and played throughout North America for much of that year, ultimately raking in $92.7 million. Since then, he has traveled throughout Oceania and Europe before arriving in Sao Paolo in October. With the tour’s final reports still to be submitted, the tour has grossed $142.6 million, globally!!
