Part of a 75 Central Expy in Richardson could soon be renamed to honor officer David Sherrard, the first Richardson police officer killed in the line of duty. Jeff Leach, a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives for District 67, which encompasses portions of Plano, Allen, Richardson, and Dallas in Collin County, has introduced a bill to rename the stretch of 75 between LBJ Freeway to the Bush Turnpike as the "David Sherrard Memorial Highway."
