Dying Texas High School Football Coach Lives To See His Team Become Champs

The Newton High School Eagles captured their second straight Class 3A state title with a 21-16 victory against Canadian Thursday. Their head coach W.T. Johnson wasn't sure he'd live long enough to see his team become champs. Johnson was told in August he had eight months at most to live after deteriorating from a double lung transplant in 2015.
