Tony Romo Tells Dr. Phil No Tackle Football For His Sons

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was on the Dr Phil Show last week to talk about sports, the importance of family, and his relationships with Jerry Jones and Jim Nantz. But the most important topic may have been football and the threat of CTE. Dr. Phil asked Romo if he would allow his kids to play football. Romo answered "I don’t think I’ll ever discourage them from doing anything… If you really like this, go play it… They won’t play tackle football until eighth grade. That’s the first time I’ll let them." Tony's kids Hawkins, 6, Rivers, 4 and Jones, 1 are a long way from 8th grade.
