Dallas Stars Pay Tribute To Local Hockey Team Made Up Of Veterans

As Public Address Announcer for the Dallas Stars, I look forward to Veterans Appreciation Night every season. Tuesday night at American Airlines Center the Stars not only honored two decorated World War II vets as the evening's 'Hometown Heroes,' they also drew attention to the work of Dallas Warriors during a ceremonial pregame puck drop. Dallas Warriors enable injured and disabled US military veterans to spend time on the ice after service, by providing adaptive equipment and ice time. Their Director of Pubic Relations and 11-year Navy veteran Russ Lusk joined Stars captain Jamie Benn and New York Rangers alternate captain Mark Staal at center ice.
