Remembering Joey Ramone, Gone On This Day In 2001

Today marks the sad anniversary of the passing of a true punk legend and counter-culture icon. Born Jeffrey Ross Hyman, Joey Ramone, was an American musician and singer-songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist of the Ramones. Sadly, Joey died from lymphoma on April 15, 2001, a month before he would have turned 50.
