Eric Clapton covers Prince's "Purple Rain"

Eric Clapton paid tribute to singer and actress Doris Day, who passed away yesterday (Monday), as well as Prince, Monday night when he did his first of three shows this week at London's Royal Albert Hall.

Clapton opened with Doris's signature song, "Que Será, Será," and closed the night with Prince's "Purple Rain."

Other surprises included a newly arranged version of "I Shot the Sheriff," featuring a bass solo intro by Nathan East, along with the return of "Five Long Years," "Change the World," "Holy Mother" and "Tearing Us Apart" with background singer Katie Kissoon handling Tina Turner's part.
