Paul McCartney had a little help from his friends Saturday night when he closed the spring and summer leg of his Freshen Up tour at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
He brought out Ringo Starr for "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)" and "Helter Skelter." And then, keeping it all in the family,Joe Walsh, Ringo's brother-in-law, came on for "The End."
- Instead of Ringo yelling "I got blisters on my fingers!" at the end of "Helter Skelter," like he did on The White Album, he told Paul how much he loved the show and him.
- It would have been great if Paul's drummer,Abe Laboriel, Jr., would have excused himself and let Ringo be the only drummer on stage. Same goes if Ringo would have stayed out for the short drum solo on "The End," but seeing as how The Beatles had to convince him to do it on the recording on Abbey Road, there was probably little chance, if asked, that he would have done it in concert.
- It would be great if Paul and Ringo would do a tour together.
