Fans of The Clash dig this! The bands landmark third studio album, London Calling celebrates its 40th anniversary in December, and to mark the milestone, a collection of memorabilia from the band’s archives will go on display at the Museum of London this fall. The exhibit is called “The Clash: London Calling,” and will be open from November 15 through spring 2020. On display will be draft lyrics, stage-worn clothes and photos and film footage providing insight into the creation of the album. Highlights include Joe Strummer's notebook containing the lyrics to a song called "Ice Age," the song that became “London Calling.” Also on display will be the bass guitar Paul Simonon broke onstage at a New York City concert, which wound up gracing the cover of the album.
