Aug 22,1917 John Lee Hooker Was Born In Tutwiler, Miss-The Youngest Of 11 Children!! The Bluesman Played It All...Delta, Talking Blues, Hill Country Blues(where do you think Billy Gibbons got that How,How,How from on Lagrange..Boom Boom And John Lee)!! In 1948 He Recorded 'Boogie Chillen', C'rawling King Snake' In 1949,'One Bourbon,One Scotch,One Beer' In 1966, And His Biggest Hit 'Boom Boom'(with Motowns The Funk Brothers as his studio band) In 1962!! John Lee Could Not Read Or Write Well But He Could Write The Lyrics For Songs All Day!!! He Started With'Boogie Chillen In 1948 In LA And Later Cut In Chicago!! He Died In 2001 In His Sleep At The Age Of 88(nobody really knew his age)!!!! 'Boom Boom" Is In The R&R Hall Of Fame..'Boogie Chillen' Is One Of The Songs Of The 20th Century,He Won A Lifetime Grammy Award And Has A Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame!! Not Bad For A Sharecroppers Son From Miss!! My Dad,Buddy Guy And Carlos Santana Were Three Of His Biggest Fans..I Agree!!
