President Bush Dropped The Puck To Open The Dallas Stars Season

The joint was jumpin' Thursday night as the Dallas Stars kicked off their 2019-20 campaign at the AAC against the Boston Bruins. The pregame festivities began early with Stars players and coaches arriving on the Victory Green Carpet Walk. Then, inside the arena it was my job as PA Announcer to introduce the coaches, followed by the entire team, the hometown hero, and our special guest, the 43rd President of the United States, George W Bush. Fresh off his appearance at the final Rangers game at Globe Life Park, "W" looked right at home at center ice, wearing a #43 victory green Stars jersey, handling the ceremonial puck drop. As for the actual game, it was a weird one. The Stars lost 3 players to injury on their way to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of a team that clearly looked like the same team that fought for (and almost won) the Stanley Cup last season.
