Remembering Tom Petty On His Birthday

Thomas Earl Petty was born in Gainesville, Florida on this day in 1950. A legendary singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, and actor, Petty formed The Heartbreakers, as well as Mudcrutch and The Traveling Wilburys. He's sold more than 80 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all-time. He and the Heartbreakers were inducted into theĀ Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002. Hard to believe it's been 2 years since we lost Tom - October 2, 2017, from an accidental overdose, just a week following the conclusion of the Heartbreakersā€™ successful 40th-anniversary tour.
