Dallas Stars Unveil 2020 Winter Classic Jerseys

Today the Dallas Stars unveiled their 2020 Winter Classic jerseys and boy howdy are they sweet! The team will wear them during the annual NHL outdoor game on January 1st, which this year will be at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas at 1pm CT, when the Stars host the Nashville Predators. The Predators also unveiled their jersey a few days ago. These new Stars jerseys will also be worn at the American Airlines Center when the Stars take on the Toronto Maple Leafs on January 29, 2020 and again versus the St Louis Blues on February 21st.

The jerseys are a nod to the 78 years of history of hockey in Texas.

Some of the details include:

-- A patch in the shape of the state of Texas embroidered in heather-gray felt on the left sleeve stripe to pay homage to the Stars' home state.

-- The crest is inspired by historical hockey uniforms from Texas and features the word "STARS" superimposed upon the letter "D."

-- The "A" in "STARS" takes the shape of a star as a reference to the Texas state flag.

-- The interior collar features a design inspired by the Texas state flag.
