51 Years ago Today The Beatles Let It All Hang Out On The White Album

Released on this day in 1968, The Beatles or as it's become known The White Album is the 9th studio album from The Beatles. The double album offered up no official singles though "Hey Jude" and "Revolution" came out of the same recording sessions. Offering a wide range of musical styles the album initially received mixed reviews. Nonetheless, it reached number one in both the UK and US and is now widely regarded as one of the greatest albums of all time, selling more than 10 million copies worldwide.

Last year (in 2018) the band celebrated with an expansive 50th Anniversary Box Set. Scroll down to hear the Esher Demo of "Back In The U.S.S.R." and "Dear Prudence"
