Diddy Delayed 50th Birthday Party to Honor Ex Kim Porter

Although Diddy’s 50th birthday was on November 4th, the business mogul decided to push back his major star-studded celebration to honor his late ex, Kim Porter. Kim passed in 2018 at her Toluca Lake home due to lung complications stemming from lobar pneumonia.

In a touching video posted to his Instagram account, Diddy uploaded a compilation of sweet moments throughout Kim’s life. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY @ladykp,” Diddy captioned on Sunday, Dec. 15. “Words can’t explain how much we miss you but today is your birthday. We’re celebrating you today! We love and we miss you!!!!!”

The video begins with black and white footage of Kim in a studio covering India.Arie’s 2001 track, “Ready For Love”.

Kim can be heard singing, “For a man who loves music, a man who loves art, respects the spirit world, and thinks with his heart.”

For the first 20 seconds we watch old intimate moments between Diddy and Kim holding and dancing with one another. The video then shows the model spending time with her family, dancing, hugging, smiling.

Kim and Diddy were together for over 10 years, birthing three children, Christian, 21, and 12-year-old twin daughters, D'Lila Star and Jessie James. Diddy also adopted Porter's son Quincy Brown, 28.
